Journaling is a very powerful tool in mindfulness! Journaling is used as a means of reflecting and thinking critically about how you are feeling, and can be especially helpful in navigating the next few weeks as we approach block 1 exams! I have provided the following 3 prompts that you can either cycle through, or choose one for reflection each day/ every other day/ weekly/ etc. Really go in detail with these questions, as giving yourself more time to reflect on the WHY behind each question will leave you feeling grateful and relaxed!
What are 3 things that I am proud of?
What is something that I am looking forward to?
What made you smile today?
Meal Prep Ideas: Let’s face it, we are all busy. But as I like to say, er’body’s gotta eat! Meal prepping is a great way to get lots of food cooked for the week ahead while ultimately saving money from having to buy meals out here in Arlington/DC (seriously, a chipotle bowl with double protein is like $20 out here lol). Here are a few different meal prep recipes that I have linked below. I have included Vegan/vegetarian and Keto options, but if there is specific interest in including other diet options, please feel free to reach out to me so I can incorporate them!
Firecracker Ground Chicken
Low Carb Chicken Parmesan Stuffed Peppers (Keto)
Garlic Teriyaki Tofu (Vegan/Vegetarian)
General Reminders: Remember to get three meals in, make some time for exercise, get a decent amount of sleep, love yourself, call your mom (I know she misses you), study hard, drink water, check in on your friends both in and out of the program, and DON’T FORGET YOUR WHY!!!
And to end it off, as always Go Physios! 💪
