Hey Physios! First week down! I know things are easier now at the beginning of the block, but keep the pressure on your studies. The biggest piece of advice I have heard from the faculty is that many people become complacent this block. Take what you have learned from Block 1 and apply it now while its early in this block and we will all do really well. There are several events coming up this week, so please keep your eyes on the google calendar. As always please reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.

First week of Block 2 is done, hopefully everyone is feeling good and getting back into the swing of things now that Nutrition exam 1 has passed. I encourage anyone else that is interested in being an SMP MNTS writer to reach out to me. Looking forward to the events that the executive board has planned and the suture clinic coming up. Other than that, I hope everyone has a great week.

Hey everyone, a lot of big things are coming up! This week we are fortunate enough to be able to paint some pumpkins for the kids on the childrenās floor at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital for them to keep during the Fall/Thanksgiving season. So please come out for this fun fall activity, Clarissa and I are extremely excited! Everyone should bring a pumpkin and we will supply you with paint supplies to make a festive pumpkin and our wonderful Team Leaders will be there to help vote for their favorite pumpkins because unfortunately we can only have 20 pumpkins dropped off at the hospital! Please feel free to partner up with your roommates and friends-we will be painting (if weather permits) by the statue outside of DML from 1-3pm Wednesday October 25th! Hope everyone can make it and enjoy some Fall Service Fun!!

Next, SMP has a team for IM basketball! Our team, made by Saad Syed, is named H1-AND1. You can join this team by creating a free account on IM leagues website. Reach out to Saad if you are interested in playing basketball this fall.
Finally, I encourage you all to attend the pumpkin painting event this Wednesday! It will not only mean a lot to the kiddos in the hospital receiving pumpkins, but can also serve as a great break from work and help to relieve stress!
