Topic of the week đ§
Mental Health and CAPS + ODI Resources: In light of recent events, I would like to take a moment to express our deepest sympathies and offer our prayers to all those affected by the ongoing situation in the Middle East. Our hearts go out to the individuals and families who have lost their lives or are enduring hardships during these challenging times.
As we come together in times of difficulty, remember those resources:
CAPS (Counseling and Psychiatric Services): Seek professional help through CAPS, located in Darnall Hall, open M-F from 9AM-5PM. Call during hours or after hours for emergencies at 202-687-6985.
Office of Student Equity & Inclusion (OSEI): Reach out to OSEI for support at osei@georgetown.edu.
Emergency Assistance: In case of immediate life-threatening emergencies, call 911 or visit your local ER.
Additionally, the MSA will be hosting an event called The Community Healing Circle this Tuesday @ 5-6pm. Location is still to be decided but please contact the Georgetown Grad MSA for further details.
We're here for you, and you're not alone.
Feel free to reach out to me, your fellow classmates, or anyone around you. We're a united front, and together, we can navigate through these challenges. Remember, your well-being matters.

Hey Physios! Block 2 has begun and I am sure everyone is excited for a fresh start, armed with all we have learned from Block 1. I know it is enticing to ease back into things but I can speak from first-hand experience that getting behind was a killer for me last block. Start off strong and make changes to your studies to improve this blockâs performance. Be proud of what you have accomplished and look forward to success this block!Â
I would like to announce a fantastic opportunity for improving our success as SMPs going forward. Beginning this block, we will have several graduate courses that do not have official MNTS. In previous years, the executive has organized an SMP MNTS team of writers and editors to create note sets for these lectures. Templates and previous yearsâ SMP MNTS are available for study now and will aid new writers. This is a great opportunity to not only increase your understanding of a particular lecture but also contribute to our classâ success as a whole. John Schaefer will be organizing and leading the team this year so if you are interested in writing or editing please reach out to him.Â
I have attached the SMP resources drive below along with a nutrition quizlet from my big sibs.Â

Happy SF2 everyone. This block is going to be easier on us than the med students so it is important to get a good start and eventually finish strong. No matter how Block 1 ended up for you, be proud of yourself for making it through. Let me know if I can help you out individually, whether it be interview prep, study skills, or anything else. The class officers have a lot of SMP specific study resources that will definitely help during Block 2. Thank you to all who are volunteering to help write our SMP MNTS, it is already very appreciated and Iâm looking forward to getting started.
